Overview
The Associate Systems Analyst administers business applications, monitors system performance, and resolves issues. Main role responsibilities include drafting requirements, implementing solutions, and supporting application upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot business applications.
- Draft and implement requirements and specifications.
- Perform and document testing for application changes.
- Monitor, report, and resolve application errors.
- Support security and performance improvements.
- Contribute to application roadmap and lifecycle planning.
- Propose and implement application enhancements.
- Meet project goals and adhere to budgets.
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Follow department policies and best practices.
- Manage and document risk in line with contractual and licensing requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience in systems administration is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Linux experience would be beneficial.
- Experience with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Database, including expertise in SQL and PL/SQL (must-have).
- Ability to draft functional and technical specifications.
- Experience in business application administration.
- Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
- Effective time and risk management.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
